The hydrologic experts of LIFE for MARSH project, in collaboration with DHI Romania wanted to explore the changes that might favour a water level and a drainage direction, so as to determine a good reproducing environment for the threated species of plants targeted in our project. The 3 scenarios constituted by using the data collected by our hydrologists, as entry data for the Program Mike She, developed by DHI were as follows: an initial scenario without considering the executed drillings, one that determines the drainage directions considering their effect and one assuming a stripping of the marsh of 10 cm. This last scenario would lead to a raise of the groundwater level with 2 mm, which is very low. Together with Maria Cheveresan (Key Account Manager DHI Romania) an extension of this simulation with higher depths stripping (20,30,40 cm) was considered worth of future investigation. Moreover, the establishment of some hydro-ecologic indicators for the plants considered for mass reproduction in our project: Liparis loeselii, Adenophora lilifolia, Ligularia sibirica must be introduced as additional data in the model (favourable surface and groundwater level, quality of nutrients, drainage presence), together with the botanists.
