13-15 Nov 2013 Attendance at LIFE URSUS (LIFE08NAT/RO/000500) Final conference,Tuşnad


The LIFE FOR MARSH team, represented by Jurj Ramon (Conservation Expert, Carpathian Wildlife Foundation), Negrea Ioana (Assistant Manager, Financial and acquisitions, Carpathian Wildlife Foundation) and Spataru Cezar (Field Engineer, ICAS Brasov) participated in the final conference of the LIFE URSUS project, between 13-15  November, which took place in Tusnad. The conference gathered projects and initiatives for nature and large carnivores conservation.  Moreover, the results of the LIFE URSUS project were presented. The first day was dedicated to presentations, being a great opportunity of networking and getting familiar with other LIFE funded projects, with their multitude of experiences. In plus, informative materials were disseminated, the brochures and custom-made materials of LIFE FOR MARSH being distributed to the specialists. The second day, the guests, together with the project team, went on a field visit in the Sf. Ana Lake area.The conference was a real success, managing to bring together experts from the carnivores conservation field, Environment Protection Agency (ro. APM) specialists, members of specialised NGOs, being an example suitable for replication.
