The summer of 2016 was very busy as usual, in addition to the actions set out in the project, we faced sheep ,, invasion ”, which we could not solve it and we had to intervene with the Police, Environmental Guard, Forest Guard. Following these joint actions we managed to eliminate illegally installed sheepfolds in the project area. Our experts, alert as always, monitored the areas which are habitats of community interest and manged to capture the flowering period of protected plants. From the experience of previous years, our experts have estimated that the peak blooming will be in early August. Properly equipped, on 01/08/2016, Carpathian Foundation team started the “marsh road” together with Prof. Dan Gurean from the Transilvania University of Brasov, Faculty of Silviculture and Forest. The first visit was in Harman where Curechiul de Munte (Ligularia sibirica) is present in large numbers, easily visible to the naked eye in almost all areas of the swamp. The pleasant surprise for us was when Prof. Dan Gurean identified the species, Liparis loeselii.
