RomânăThe target is to recreate the composition and the vertical structure of the alder and ash forests and also to restore the phyto-sanitary state of the alder, which is now improper, by applying biological measures in demonstrative surfaces.
At the end of October-beginning of November, works aimed at increasing the consistence of alder stands, through the plantation of seedlings in the places indicated by the specialists of ICAS, in Prejmer forest, were conducted. One thousand seedlings aged 2-3 years were planted. By the end of this month, another 1000 pieces will be planted.
The action was undertaken by the specialists of ICAS, Carpathian Foundation (FC) and 20 students of the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering.
